knowledge, experience and expertises we know you will be able to take our brand one step closer to our consumers. Sony Ericsson’s vision of being , the
Communication Entertainment brand, has embarked on this initiative to enable our key activators - you, to provide potential customers with hands on
knowledge on the benefit of Sony Ericsson and your experience of the brand. Mobile handsets are no longer just a device to make calls, sms or access the
internet, they have become an extension of our lives and of who we are. It is no longer only about selling hardware, but rather about the experience the
handset deliver. Let’s look at the X10 our first Android device in the marketplace as an example to illustrate this, not only does it have key hardware
benefits for the consumer like 4” screen and 8.1 Megapixel camera, it also has a unique Sony Ericsson user interface with applications like Timescape and
Mediascape, as well as access to the market place where the consumer can download thousands of applications for every need. This device is
Android 2.1. ready so every consumer who buys the device will be able to upgrade their device when new software becomes available and benefit from new
additional features and functionality which will be added to the device over the next few quarters.,. We know that a majority of South Africans can’t live
without their cellphones* and that it ‘appeal to their need for expression and individuality, especially among the youth audiences’.
As mobile handsets become more intelligent , so does the way we need to communicate to the market . Traditionally we would select various media forms to
communicate the necessary messages, but we now need to ask ourselves how to engage and interact with our audiences by taking our brand ‘to them’...and our
answer...is you! You have the ability to provide our customers with an experience by simply knowing and believing in the product you’re using. We already
know you’re Sony Ericsson fans and so want to enable you to consistently be linked to our brand in everything you do . We hope you can continue to spread
